At West Point Dental, we will always provide:
Gentle Care:
Our friendly team understands that many people may be uncomfortable visiting the dentist due to previous experiences. That is why we always take our time to make sure you feel comfortable and informed throughout your visit. Our patient suites are equipped with heated massage chairs to create a relaxing environment. We also offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and conscious sedation as additional options to ease your discomfort.
Expertise:
Our extensively trained, professional team is skilled in a wide range of preventative, restorative, and cosmetic procedures. We LOVE straightening smiles with Invisalign, brightening them with Zoom whitening, protecting them with custom bite guards, and restoring them with crowns, bridges, and dentures!
Financing Options:
It is our goal to make dental treatment accessible to all of our patients. We offer a yearly discount plan for patients without insurance which includes the standard preventative care, as well a 25% discount on most dental treatments. We offer third-party financing through CareCredit, as well as the interest-free option of auto-debit recurring payments through DocPay. We want to make sure that you are able to receive the dental care that you need without financial burden.
Consistency:
As a patient at our office, you truly become a member of our dental family. Dr. Shah and the rest of our team is familiar with each of our patients and their individualized treatment plans. Whether you come in twice a year for cleanings, or you come frequently for dental treatment, you can expect familiar faces and a warm welcome.

At West Point Dental, we are “in-network” with nearly all insurance companies, including many state plans! If you are wondering if we accept your insurance, the answer is probably YES. Our Team
Dr. Amit Shah, DDS
Dr. Amit Shah has been providing dental care to our patients at West Point Dental since 2009! He grew up in Kolkata, “the city of joy”, in Eastern India. His hometown is known for it’s vibrant culture and enthusiastic people! Dr. Shah’s family follows a fundamental principle of Jainism, “ahimsa”, which means non-violence- through words, actions, and thoughts. This principle guides him in his work and life, which shines through in his calm demeanor and non-judgmental nature.
Dr. Shah’s dental journey was inspired by his father, who was the only general dentist in their town that did difficult oral surgeries. He began assisting his father with dental procedures when he was in high school, and he never looked back! In 2004, he achieved his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from India. He then came to the USA and completed his Master of Science in Clinical Dentistry (MS) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL in 2007. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2009, and then joined us here in Commerce Township, MI! We are so happy to have had Dr. Shah leading our dental team for over 10 years!
Outside of work, Dr. Shah loves spending time with his wife, Ritu, and his two young children, Siddarth and Aarohi. He also enjoys listening to music, traveling, and community service!
Wendy, Dental Hygienist
Wendy has been our full-time hygienist since November 2021! She grew up in Detroit, Michigan. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in May of 2021.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, going to the gym, and traveling.
